Brazilian Innovation Summit
2023 - Built design

The Brazilian Innovation Summit is considered the most important innovation event in Latin America, organized by CNI and SEBRAE, bringing together business leaders, government representatives, and academics from around the world. The 2023 edition, held at São Paulo Expo on September 27–28, focused on the theme of eco-innovation, a movement reshaping sustainability and competitiveness standards across the industrial sector.
Invited by Estojo Cenografia to collaborate on the main auditorium installation, the brief was to design a large-scale ceiling with a fluid, organic form, one that could also be efficiently fabricated from cardboard, a sustainable material that aligned directly with the event's eco-innovation theme.
Built design was a visually expressive, architecturally ambitious ceiling that met the production constraints of the material while reflecting the forward-looking spirit of one of Brazil's most significant innovation platforms.

To achieve this result, I developed a real-time parametric pipeline in Grasshopper, linked directly to the base surface model. As the surface was shaped and refined, the system simultaneously extracted the geometry of each individual cardboard module, generating fully resolved 2D cutting layouts, with part groupings, dimensions, and production-ready outputs, updating live with every design change. This allowed the design and fabrication documentation to evolve in parallel, dramatically compressing the time between concept and production.
